Too big for my card I made to put it in .

Hi CarolAnne, I'm sorry to hear it wouldn't fit. I'm interested to know what size card you made. The size of the gift card holder is 4.75 x 3.5 in which is listed above under the FAQ section on the product page and comfortably fits within an A2 sized card.
