Hello everyone! Kim here with my first blog post for Emily Moore Designs. So, let’s get started! First, you will need this list of supplies:
Short and Sweet Happy Birthday steel dies
Shaker Frame-The Doily
Vertical Pocket Die
Clear Acetate
Crafty foam tape
Double sided tape
Liquid glue
First, I started by die cutting all the pieces. I am using an A2 card base size 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I then cut the shaker frame from the pink paper as well as the pocket die. I also cut the sentiment shadow in blue and the actual sentiment in white.
Next, I took the sentiment and gave it some polka dots using my copic markers. This was purely just for fun, if you prefer you can keep yours white! After that I glued them to the proper shadow and set them aside.
Working on the inside of the card next, I cut a piece of white paper 1/8 smaller than the card and glued it to the inside. I then folded the vertical pocket score lines and glued to the inside of the card to create a perfect spot to add a gift card or a little cash!
For the front panel, I attached double sided adhesive to the back of the Shaker Frame cut out and applied the acetate. I then applied foam tape over the acetate making sure none of it shows through the window.
I then poured some of my sprinkles on the front of the card in the center to keep them in the window area only. Removing the tape backing I applied the acetate card topper to the card base! How fun is this looking?
Now for the final touches. I added more foam tape to the back of the Happy Sentiment and regular liquid glue to the birthday sentiment and then applied them to the front of the card.
I hope you enjoyed this fun and easy tutorial and will give something similar a try!
