How to Make a Handmade Envelope

How to Make a Handmade Envelope

Hello my fellow crafters! Today I wanted to share how I make all my envelopes for the cards that I make. I walk through my super simple process in a quick 5 minute video below!

What makes this so simple is the Envelope Template Kit that I got from PaperSource. The kit comes with a set of 6 different sized envelopes. I mainly use the A2 size (for my A2 sized cards) but it also includes, #1 Baby, 4 Bar, A6, A7, and  5 3/4" square.

All you have to do with these envelope templates is trace the image, and then cut it out! It's really that simple. I always use pencil, so I can erase the pencil line on the top of the envelope.

Then I use my envelope, or the template, to trace just the top on some paper matching my card, and create a liner! It's really that simple. I attach the liner with some Cherry Tape, so I know it'll stay on. I also have some handy non-stick scissors that won't stick and get ruined when cutting adhesive! You could even use newspaper, giftwrap, or any type of paper really to create your own envelopes!

This is such a fun, simple process that I wanted to share with you all. Let me know if you end up making your own envelopes!

With heart,

Emily
