Hi Fellow Cardmakers! Emily Mydlowski here with you today and super excited to joining the Christmas Cardmaking Craft-Along! Today, I’m sharing an A2 & A7 bright and cheerful set of holiday cards. Rainbow is my favorite color so it always makes it way into my holiday cards and gift wrapping too. It reminds me of the colorful scenes of Whoville from the “Grinch Who Stole Christmas”.

The Cardmaking Details
For both cards, I used the smallest ornament in the Nested Ornament Die Set, banners & hearts from the Decorative Sentiment Die Set and the So Charming Die Set.
Using my die cutting machine I cut the:
- Ornaments & banners in white cardstock and dark pink, coral, yellow, teal and purple cardstock.
- Ornament toppers in Silver & Champagne Glitter cardstock
- All the charms in champagne and silver foil cardstock. I love that this die cuts out all the charms at one once. What a timesaver!

Now that I have all my pieces, I went to work creating all the ornaments. Before I adhered all the pieces together, I mapped out the color order for each of the cards to make sure they were in Holiday rainbow order. Once I had the order I liked, I assembled all the pieces together:
- I adhered the banners to the center of the ornaments.
- I turned the ornaments over to trim off the ends making sure I followed the edges of the ornament for a nice fussy cut edge.
- I adhered the ornament toppers and charms with liquid adhesive.
- To the Pink, Yellow and Purple ornaments, I added a piece of Crafty Power Tape to the center of the white cardstock banners and added a sprinkle of glitter.
- To the white & color cardstock banners, I added a white heart from the Banner Set to the center of the ornaments.
- For the sentiments, I used a stamping positioning tool and used white embossing owner and VersaFine Nocturne Ink with clear embossing powder.

Then I adhered all of the ornaments in rainbow order to an A2/A7 white card panel using foam & tape runner adhesive. To finish the cards, I added the decorated panel to ombré red stripped pattern paper that I found in my patterned paper stash.

So what do you think? Is a Holiday Rainbow something you might try? If not no worries, this design would look lovely in traditional red & green or winter wonderland blues.
Thanks for having me during the Craft-along. I hope you have tons of fun and walk away with a ton of ideas and inspiration from the talented designers!
Happy Holidays & Big Paper Hugs!
