It’s Kim here today sharing with you how I made this fun, all occasion card. Sometimes you just want to send a fun card to let someone know you are thinking of them, well this is the perfect card to do just that!
Supplies you will need are as follows:
Hi, Hey, Hello Word Dies Short and Sweet
Shaker Frame Die-The Doily
Vertical Pocket Die
Clear Acetate Sheets
Foam Tape
Double Sided Tape
Cardstock
Sequins
Enamel Dots
First, I used a 5.5 x 4.25 inch card base. I then proceeded to die cut all my pieces in your choice of colors. When I cut the vertical pocket die I trimmed it to fit the bottom of my card which was approximately 2 inches from the tip of the highest point. It is fun to use dies in ways different than intended.
I also cut one piece of my pattern paper to go behind the shaker frame as that will show through the acetate, it measures 5.25 x 4 inches.
From here, I then glued a piece of the acetate to the back of the Shaker Frame. I use double sided tape, but you can use whatever you are comfortable with.
After the acetate is attached, turn it over and glue all the pieces to the front as shown here.
When that is complete, flip back over and apply your foam tape, making sure it does not show through the acetate on the front but keeping it close to the oval so the sequins don’t all fall to the bottom when you stand the card up. After that get the patterned paper you cut to go behind the frame and pour some sequins right in the middle. Then peel the foam tape paper and glue the front panel to the pattern paper.
You can then glue the entire thing to the front of your card base! At this point, I added some fun enamel dots to the front for a bit more pizzazz!
Here is the same card but in different colors, so you can use whatever paper you have on hand.
