Hello everyone!
Even though it’s summertime, I couldn’t resist creating a holiday inspired project using some of my favorite Emily Moore Designs products! Today I’m sharing how to make a festive “present” card that doubles as a gift card holder using the Gift Card Holder Die with Bow. This project comes together quickly and makes such a beautiful handmade gift for the holiday season.
Let’s get started!
Supplies Needed

Step 1: Create the Front “Present” Card Panel
First, let’s create the front panel of the card! I used the largest die from the Card Sentiment Dies to cut the front panel from patterned paper. To turn the card into a festive “present,” I used the bow portion of the “Gift Card Holder Die with Bow” and cut it from glitter cardstock for extra sparkle and shine.
Next, I cut two thin strips from the same glitter cardstock to create the look of ribbon wrapping around the present. For added contrast, I layered in coordinating solid cardstock behind the bow and ribbon pieces, but this step is completely optional.

Step 2: Decorate the Inside
The card is almost finished… can you believe how quick and easy this project is?
For the inside, I cut the “Merry & Bright” sentiment from both solid cardstock and coordinating patterned paper. I layered the pieces together to create a fun dimensional look for the main sentiment at the top of the card.

Next, I used the actual gift card holder die and cut it from patterned paper that coordinated with the front of the card. This piece will hold the gift card securely inside.
When attaching the holder, be careful not to glue the side flaps closed so the gift card can slide in and out easily.

And there you have it!! A beautiful festive card with a special gift card surprise tucked inside!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope this project inspires you to start creating for the holidays a little early.
Happy creating!
Jill
