Hello everyone! Today is the Catherine Pooler Holiday Release, meaning you can get all this fun holiday stuff I am showing here now! Today I am sharing how to make a mini slimline card! The Holiday Mug Shots stamps and coordinating die set to me, was screaming to have the mugs stacked up on each other. Below is a full process video on how I created this fun card. The measurements for a mini slimline card are 7 inches by 6 inches, then scored at 3 1/2 inches. I love this type of slimline card because it fits the 6x6 paper perfectly. The Cookies & Milk paper pad is so fun, with pretty pink & blue colors giving a pastel, non-traditional look.
From here, I picked some patterned paper, I really liked the the pink papers, I chose the pink snowflake pattern paper and decided to also add in the sweater pattern paper as an inch strip on the side.
I stamped the Mug Shot images onto some white cardstock, and I just used some colored pencils I had to color in each one! I then die cut them out, and also decided to die cut out some circles for the backs of them with vellum. From there, I ink blended some On The Lake on one circle and some Cotton Candy on another vellum circle to add a little more pop for the background.
From there, it was just about assembling my card! I also used some Samba, and stamped that direct to paper on some white cardstock to create my own colored cardstock. I also did the same thing with Cotton Candy ink, then used that as a background for my sentiment (which I stamped in Samba). I used some Cherry Dots to adhere the sentiment onto the Samba paper, and also for the mugs to add that lift and dimension.
